CareHaven is built and supported by a small team. Email us with anything — bug reports, feature requests, billing questions, or just to tell us what's working.
We usually reply within 2 business days. For faster help, include your iPhone model, iOS version, and the CareHaven build number (Settings → About in the app).
Because care data is some of the most personal data a family has. Your care log is encrypted so that only you — and the people you invite into your circle — can read it. Not us, not anyone else. There's no sign-up, no password, no inbox of "important security updates" from us. If you want to move to a new phone or share with a co-caregiver, that's an explicit, encrypted handoff — not a default.
Every entry is encrypted on your device before it's stored or synced, with a key only your circle holds. Sync is optional and off by default — turn it on and it follows you between your devices, encrypted the whole way, so only your circle can read it.
Open Settings inside the app → Backup & Restore → Create backup. CareHaven writes a .chbak file (AES-256-GCM encrypted) that you can save to Files, iCloud Drive, or AirDrop to a new device. On the new phone, install CareHaven and choose Restore from backup on first launch.
Use the Handoff feature. Tap the share icon on the home screen, set an expiration window (a shift, a school day, a weekend), and hold your iPhone near the other person's. CareHaven sends a one-time, time-boxed sitter brief through Apple's App Clip path — today's plan, current cues, emergency contacts, active medications. No account, no download, no follow-up. When the window closes, the brief stops working.
Tap the person pill at the top of any screen and pick the profile you want. Each profile is fully separate — its own timeline, medications, behaviors, routines, goals, and contacts. Free supports two profiles, Plus supports five, Family is unlimited.
CareHaven subscriptions are billed through Apple, not through us — so cancellations are handled by Apple. On your iPhone: open Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → CareHaven. From there you can cancel, change plans, or rejoin. If your subscription disappears unexpectedly or you're billed for the wrong tier, email us and we'll help sort it out.
iPhone running iOS 17 or later. The app also runs on iPad (universal binary) and Apple Watch (companion app for quick logging and live activities). Older iOS versions aren't supported because some of the app's signature features — on-device intelligence, App Clip handoff, StandBy widget — only exist on iOS 17+.
If you're testing CareHaven via TestFlight, the fastest way to report a bug or share an observation is through TestFlight itself — screenshots and crash logs are attached automatically.
From inside CareHaven: take a screenshot, then tap the TestFlight banner at the top of the screenshot preview. Add a sentence about what felt off and send.
From the TestFlight app: open TestFlight → tap CareHaven → scroll to the bottom → Send Beta Feedback.
For anything that doesn't fit in a screenshot — billing, feature requests, longer-form questions — email support@carehaven.org directly.
